The Outback Song

The 2021-2022 season was down to the final week, and Grey and Bryant were in a neck-and-neck rock fight at the bottom of the leaderboard. In the final week of the season, the Indianapolis Colts needed a win on the road in Jacksonville to clinch the Wild Card and sneak into the playoffs. The 2-win Jacksonville Jaguars were at the end of a rough season, and were sitting in last place across the entire NFL.

Bryant had the Colts. Grey had the Jaguars. If the Colts won, Bryant clinched the lead over Grey and would be safe from paying. Well the Outback Gods shined on Grey that day, and the Jaguars puzzlingly beat the Colts in what ESPN dubbed a “clown game.”

Grey would go on to best Bryant in the Outback Bowl by coming up on the right side of history again by picking correctly on the infamous Chargers/Raiders thriller.

The Outback Gods rescued Grey from a pit of despair, and in turn he rewarded them (and the world) with “The Outback Song”.

The most handsome of the Outbackers, Bryant largely employs a strategy of favoring the home team. Bryant's seasons are historically "feast or famine," as he is the only player with multiple first place and multiple last place finishes.
